BEGINNING YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
WATCH PROGRAM
The
primary purpose of this Website is to encourage individuals &
neighborhoods throughout Fairview to begin the formation of
their very own Neighborhood Watch Program. Sanctioned
by the Fairview Police Department, this site can provide
everyone with a central base for information and resources in
helping them get started and also provide new information and
"Safety Alerts" as involvement grows.
Therefore, the
first step for your neighborhood should be a simple
one. That's why we've created an easy-to-use
downloadable
"Flyer" which can be quickly customized to distribute
throughout your neighborhood as well as a few simple
instructions for getting started.

EASY START
INSTRUCTIONS:
FIRST:
As an organizer, contact Chief Terry Harris of the Fairview
Police Department at 799-2431 to inform him of your interest
in organizing a Watch Program in your Neighborhood.
Provide the Chief with your Name, Address, Phone Number and
Neighborhood's Name. Also let him know you are using the resources you need from
this Website [FairviewNeighbors.com]. Chief Harris will
offer you his time to schedule with organizers or speak with
everyone at a public neighborhood meeting to explain the
importance of such a program.
SECOND:
Download & Customize our
"Easy To Use Flyer" to inform your
neighbors of your new Neighborhood Watch Program.
This Downloadable Flyer is quickly customized by simply
[Clicking] in the appropriate areas and typing in your
information.
Please Note:
Downloading this item requires that you have Adobe Acrobat

Distributing Your Completed Flyer: Simply Print
all the copies you'll need of your completed Flyer, fold each
one & place it on your neighbors mailbox. Please
do not put it inside the mailbox as this is not a lawful way
of doing it.
FINAL POINT:
At
your "Kick-Off Meeting", if your neighborhood wishes to
purchase Official Neighborhood Watch Street Signs, simply
raise, donate or provide Chief Harris with the cost of the
signs ($25.00 each) and the city will place and install them
free of charge. From that point forward your Program
belongs to your neighborhood to do what best suits the needs
of your neighborhood, and no one knows what those needs are
better than you. The Police Department will always be
there to support your needs & work with you every step of the way!
